A Bosphorus brunch cruise is a private boat charter that runs from late morning into the early afternoon, usually between 10:30 and 14:00, with a full brunch served on board while the yacht follows the strait between Europe and Asia. The defining difference from a scheduled group cruise is control: your group is the only one on board, the departure time is set around your day, and the pace is entirely yours.

Most brunch charters run three to four hours, which is what separates them from a shorter breakfast sail — the extra time is spent at the table rather than on the water. The full Sunday-style spread: cheeses, olives, honey with kaymak, seasonal jams and simit to start, then hot dishes — menemen, sucuk, börek, gözleme and eggs cooked to order — finishing with fruit and endless tea.

Western Brunch

Eggs benedict or scrambled, avocado toast, pancakes, pastries, cold cuts and cheeses, granola and yoghurt, fresh juice and filter coffee. The usual pick for groups who want something familiar with a Bosphorus view.

Mixed Brunch & Special Diets

A combined Turkish and Western table works best for larger mixed groups. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free versions of every brunch are available with advance notice.

Spring (April – May)

The most comfortable months for a long table on deck. Judas trees turn the hillsides purple in April, temperatures sit in the high teens and the light is clear without the summer haze.

Summer (June – August)

Warm but pleasant on the water, because the strait funnels a constant breeze. Brunch is served under the shade of the aft awning, and a swimming stop fits naturally into a four-hour charter.

Autumn (September – November)

Warm water, softer light and the fewest crowds of the year. September and October weekends are the quiet favourites among guests who have sailed here before.

Winter (December – March)

Bright, crisp days between the rain, with brunch served in the heated salon and the Bosphorus almost empty. The lowest rates of the year fall in this window.

Weekend celebrations dominate: birthdays, engagements, hen parties and anniversary brunches where the point is to sit at one long table for three hours without anyone rushing you out for the next booking. Bridal and baby showers use the same format, with decoration and a cake arranged in advance.

Corporate brunches work equally well — a team of twelve fits easily on a mid-size yacht, and the format is more relaxed than a lunch meeting. Larger boats handle group brunches, wedding-morning gatherings and company events for 70 to 300 guests with full catering and a sound system.

Private charters board wherever suits your group best. Kabataş is the most common pier, sitting on the T1 tram and F1 funicular lines — about 20 minutes from Sultanahmet and three minutes from Taksim. Bebek and Kuruçeşme are the usual alternatives for guests staying in Beşiktaş, Nişantaşı or the northern districts.

Your confirmation names the exact pier with a map pin, and the crew is on the quay 15 minutes before departure. Door-to-pier transfer can be arranged on request for most central hotels, and the yacht can return to a different pier from the one you boarded at if that suits your day better.
