A boat wedding is not one format but several, and choosing the right one early saves every later decision. These are the shapes Istanbul couples actually book, from most intimate to most spectacular.

• The elopement sail — the couple, the witnesses and an officiant on an intimate yacht; vows at golden hour, dinner for six, and the city as the entire guest list.
• Ceremony ashore, reception afloat — the most popular format: the legal ceremony at a registry or hotel, then the party boards and the reception sails. No venue-change logistics for гостей — the venue moves instead.
• The full wedding afloat — ceremony on the top deck mid-strait, reception below as the boat sails on. The vow moment is held with the bridge or Девичья башня behind the couple, engines cut to idle.
• The engagement party — ring exchange at the bow, families meeting properly over a long dinner, and a first taste of the wedding to come.
• The kına (henna) night — the bride’s night before the wedding, done tradition-first: red veils, the candle-lit henna ceremony in the salon, and dancing that the neighbours cannot complain about.

Every format above scales across the fleet — the same evening works for forty гостей or four hundred; only the deck count changes.

1. H-2: Setup complete before anyone arrives. Florals, tables, staging and sound are installed and photographed for approval while the boat sits at the pier.
2. H-0: Guest boarding, 30–40 minutes. Guest-list control at the gangway, welcome cocktails on deck, the couple still ashore or hidden — the skyline warms the crowd up.
3. H+1: The entrance. The couple boards last to full decks — or, for the grand version, arrives by tender mid-strait. First dance follows while the city slides past.
4. H+1.5: Dinner in motion. Courses are served as the boat runs the illuminated route; speeches land between courses, timed so the bridge passes behind the toasts.
5. H+3: Cake at the landmark. The cut is cued to Девичья башня or the bridge — the photograph that ends up framed.
6. H+3.5: The party leg. DJ up, decks open, the return route stretched as long as the energy holds; fireworks or a sparkler send-off close the night at the pier.

Engagement parties follow a lighter version of the same arc: the ring moment staged at the bow, families seated deliberately together, and a dinner that doubles as the two households’ first shared evening.
